Snippet:
Put another way, Abbott is using taxpayer dollars to pay for optional vacations 2,000 miles away — at a time of record gas prices — instead of turning these illegal migrants around and sending them two miles back across the border. Bussing illegals to D.C. is nice showmanship, but does nothing to change the illegal flow into Texas.
Does Abbott have legal authority to deport them once they are found inside the country?

He does. All governors do. Illegals are supposed to be handed over to ICE (or CBP if within a certain distance of the border) but the states have the right to enforce the law themselves.
They can't create Obama Cages or anything like that, but they can remove illegals from their jurisdiction.
They absolutely should be deported then. Unfortunately I'm sure that would be a losing battle as they will keep ending up north of the border.
I do like bussing them to DC as a second choice (political theater or not), although the wealthy suburbs of Virginia and Maryland would likely be better.

He has to declare an invasion. He was advised to do this months ago but has not done so. If he doesn't after title 42 drops then he's part of the problem.
That just sounds like an excuse , they always are cost conscious when it comes to spending small amounts of money for in your face kind of things while they spend money on on unneeded things like flying Africans and other muslims to America
