I have to imagine that whomever is still around advising Trump (except maybe for Kushner) is screaming at him not to do it. All he needs to do is stall for a month, until after the midterms.
He's walking into a perjury trap. Stall as long as possible and then plead the 5th if he is legally forced. They'll try and get him in contempt if he doesn't show.
Most definitely. His ego will run away with him and he'll give them something to use. All he needs to do is remind them (and the public) that the commission wasn't formed legitimately and has no authority. Keep repeating that until the next congress dissolves the commission.
>He's walking into a perjury trap.
Or maybe it is the other way around. The committee should be careful what it wishes for. they might just get it.

Trump will wipe the floor with the committee. He's called their bluff.
I disagree. He'll give them legitimacy by testifying. He'll also likely say something he will regret.
