I keep reading stories that say the Ukrainians are just about to crush the Russians. I don't think they are true. I suspect the opposite is the case. But there is so much misinformation, we won't know for sure until it happens.

Saying Ukraine could defeat Russia in a military conflict is like saying Canada could defeat the US in a military conflict. It's completely impossible.

Technically it's not just Ukraine battling Russia, they are sending weapons, ammo and people from America, Canada, Europe, Australia e.t.c.

All dumb sheep and I hope every single one of them eats dirt.

The idiots going over there to fight Russia are putting targets on our backs because of our weak, idiotic leaders. I think Le Pen in France and the President of Belarus and Poland are the only strong western leaders.

Biden and Trudeau will cause the downfall of North America. Ones a geriatric, demented buffoon who can't say a simple sentence and the other is a rich, spoiled faggot and drama teacher born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

We're screwed.

Yeah, if you go onto any news homepage, you'll see a dozen stories with ridiculous headlines like "HOW PUTIN IS LOSING" or "Ukrainians gear up to win the war next week" and other absolute nonsense. They also report obscene casualties for the Russians...

And I'm a bit torn on that last part. Russians have been using an infantry, armor, and combined arms doctrine that invites tremendous casualties since WW1. They don't seem to learn from all of the wars they've fought, and they keep making the same fucking mistakes.

Most common mistake I've seen Russians making in war- they seem to think tanks are invincible, and that the mere presence of a few tanks will win the day. So they'll often speed a couple of heavy tanks into a city block, ahead of any assistance... they're in these machines that cost close to a hundred million dollars, 3-5 crew members in there. And then, one Ukrainian armed with a LAW (provided by our tax dollars, of course) hiding in a basement fucking pops the rear tank. He used a $35k rocket to destroy a tank worth tens of millions, and probably killed/wounded 3-5 of the crew. There's drone footage (on fucking YouTube of all places) of two Russian tanks being ambushed exactly like this; one even gets hit by a fucking Javelin.

And why is this happening? Because tanks are becoming obsolete, specifically in urban combat. I figured this out when I was deployed in Iraq. Tanks were often liabilities that held us up more than helped us... but of course we use a far more effective combined arms doctrine than the Russians.

INFANTRY MUST SUPPORT TANKS. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW WELL ARMORED, HOW WELL ARMED THE TANK IS- YOU NEED MEN WITH RIFLES ON THE GROUND. THE VISIBILITY FROM THE TANK IS SHIT. YOU NEED THE MEN OUTSIDE TO SEARCH FOR POTENTIAL AMBUSHERS. Without doing this, It's actually really easy to destroy a tank. Most rocket launchers don't take much training to use effectively- "fire and forget" shit. So this is one of the reasons the Russians are losing too many...

But also, I've watched a lot of their infantry combat footage. It's sort of cringe. The only guys who impress me are those "Alpha Group" men- they move and conduct themselves like professional warriors, they are uniform and concise. The rest of the Russian infantry I've seen... put it this way, if these guys were in my squad during a deployment, I'd do my best to get transferred, because I'd be concerned that these idiots are going to get me fucking killed. The way they bunch up, firing blindly for no reason, they don't know how to use their AK-12s properly (captured AK-12s are frequently being found with the selector switch jammed all the way down, blocking the damned trigger!), they don't know how to move as a group- it's a pure numbers game with the Russians. They have more than their enemy, and so they will win, regardless of the cost.

The Russians are also not employing terror tactics in the same way the Ukrainians are. You see the videos of them torturing and executing Russian prisoners? Shooting them in the legs and dicks, then questioning them? Or slitting their throats as they lay prone with hands bound behind their backs? If I, some dude in the USA saw those videos, do you think your typical Russian soldier has seen this footage? I think so. If their leadership was smart, they'd use these atrocities to villainize the Ukrainians. Show the footage to the soldiers- "These men surrendered to the Ukrainians. They expected to be treated fairly, they cooperated and answered questions, but these Ukrainian beasts still murdered their helpless prisoners. This is the fate that awaits you if you surrender."

This is a double-edged sword. For some men, it will harden their resolve, and spark a desire for revenge and motivate some morally questionable actions. For other men, it will frighten them. But I think the majority would see that footage and be pissed, ready to go kill some Ukes.

It's not simple to explain a guy straight out of his farm that he needs to kill and and die for geo strategic reasons

Because that's why they are sent, truly
