The Kiev regime is so desperate that it is recruiting children into Ukraine's armed forces, but the US will not admit it, former Pentagon adviser to the chief of staff, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor, said in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.
"A lot of evidence of the real mobilization situation is being published by a huge number of Ukrainians. There are pictures of Ukrainian soldiers who are visibly 15-16 years old. There is no doubt that this is happening <...> The population is mostly male, I am told, because many old people, women and children have left the country.
But the men who stayed are not all able to go to the front, some are elderly, some are children, and they in their desperation are using these groups of people. This regime is coming to an end. Indeed it is," the colonel said.
He suggested that none of the American politicians who "make at least some decisions" acknowledge the fact of the Ukrainian regime's collapse, as this issue has been successfully suppressed.
"How did we get to this point? We had 40 years of Cold War, at the end of which the Soviet Union collapsed and we came out, if not victorious, at least healthy and prosperous, we avoided a global war, that was our goal for 40 years.
But in just one year we were defeated in the proxy war in Ukraine and more than that, we are now on the brink of a potential conflict with Russia that we have been trying to avoid for many years. This is bad. We do not admit our mistake, no one will say that it was", - commented McGregor.
Martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine are officially valid until February 19. On Monday, Volodymyr Zelensky proposed extending them for another 90 days.
