It may take more than a year to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine from the U.S.

This was stated by U.S. Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth (Secretary of the Army is a civilian position in the Pentagon, responsible for all issues related to the needs and tasks of the U.S. Army).

According to the U.S. Army secretary, Washington is still working on plans on how to get tanks to Ukraine.

"We're looking for the fastest way we can get tanks to the Ukrainians", Wormuth said at a meeting with military writers.

The FRG authorities agreed to supply the Leopard tanks to Ukraine only after the U.S. officially announced that it would hand over the Abrams model.

Canada to send four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

The Canadian government has decided to transfer four more Leopard 2 tanks to the Ukrainian troops. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters on Friday.

"We will send four additional Leopard 2 tanks as well as an armoured repair and recovery vehicle to the Ukrainian Armed Forces" he said.

In addition, Canada will also send 5,000 munitions to Ukraine, Trudeau added.

It was previously reported that the Canadian army has 112 Leopard tanks, of which 82 are combat vehicles, and the rest are training and support vehicles.

In January, Canadian authorities said they would hand over four Leopard 2 tanks on the Ministry of Defence's balance sheet.

Doesn't matter, would take 1000 tanks to do anything, also they're not autonomous, so they don't even have crews to serve them.

It doesn’t take a year to send them over. They are probably making retrofits to countermeasure the new Russian Armata tanks which are more advanced.

They’re removing alll the advanced technology including the extra armor since they know the Russians will eventually seize them and they don’t want our tech out there.

We’re never sending them unless they’re completely stripped down. Russia would love to capture a tank with technology that has countermeasures to their new tanks.
