Money laundering. This is the egregious and most recent Ukraine-based money laundering scheme, in a years-long practice. Pelosi, Kerry, Biden, all have had family being paid in public funds sifted through Ukraine for years. They've expanded the practice, with a short-term intensity characteristic of all recent liberal political gimmicks. They've been trying to push permanent changes (election manipulation infrastructure, 3rd world hordes) for the benefit of their scheme-y, slimy, sweaty rat families. But they've also been pushing relatively short-term actions for the same reasons, like publically dumping Our money in Ukraine, so they can privately take some of it. To make these schemes work, they have to cobble together a practice that benefits as many members of congress as they can. Which means they need a public excuse for things like Ukraine. That excuse is what they call "democracy". It isn't democracy, and they know it's not. It's just another excuse.
