Or do what I did, hire a local rental box truck (usually with a lift gate even!) for $120 a day. Load, drive, unload, drive it back. Catch a flight or grab the car you left behind and drive to new home.
Operation escape Cali.

The other option is to sell everything you can't fit in your car and re buy at the other point.
That's what you get for waiting so damned long.
And accumulating shit i don't need.

They are only going to make it harder and harder to GTFO of there. Many communist nations build walls to keep the slaves in....
You can buy or build a trailer for much less.
... how are you going to pull that with a Prius? 🤣
With clean burning coal? And brown child labor.
Have you checked out the pricing on trailers lately?
Yes, Everything is doubled because of Liberal/communist rule. That has nothing to do with the fact that you buy OR Build a trailer, and when you get where you are going you still have that trailer and can use or Sell that trailer. That is Not money you gave to U-haul.
True, but I was mostly just pointing out how expensive trailers are.
They're straight up robbing people. It doesn't cost 5k to pay a guy to drive an empty truck back to California.
It costs $5k to convince him to come back!
Would you like help with logistics?
Im good, thank you. I actually don't have a lot of stuff since i rent a studio. Im just going to rent a car, cram it full, and drive it there and back. It'll take a few days round trip. Then ill ride my motorcycle out of cali, as a free man.
Sounds like an LL Cool J song, lol. I lived in CA for decades and never heard anyone actually call it “Cali”.
Good luck on your move. Downvotes rule.
Remember to pack boxes and base furniture first.
Good luck renting a car. Let us know if you find one between now and summer.
Seems to be no problem right now, and relatively inexpensive.
I am a few hours away. I could arrange your u-haul for say, $3,250 plus airfare home. Rubs hands.
When I was escaping CA, Uhaul actually cancelled my 1+ month reserved truck 3 days before my move. I had to find other accommodations with Penske last minute, luckily they don't cancel your shit right before a move.
Fuck CA and fuck Uhaul.
Good. I hope they quadruple more. The rest of the country doesn’t want you.
Lick my taint, bitch. I've lived here for a year.
Definitely you should be sent back to commiefornia
For $5,000 it's worth bringing it back and arranging other transportation to return to your new home.
