Misleading title. Unvaccinated healthcare workers are banned from unemployment. That's completely different from welfare for the general public.
I realized why they're doing this in hospitals though. It's not about convincing them to comply, it's about the fact that people listen to healthcare workers. So they want to remove credentials from anyone who has concerns or questions things.
Then when they say I'm a trained nurse or doctor and this is wrong the response is that you were a bad one and that's why you were fired. It's not logical but it's effective.
