Just received an email from Ukraine. I don't know if it's real, or if it's propaganda. ________________________________________________________________

Unfortunately, not a good day!

Many asked, so I decided to write to everyone at once.

In our city of Nikolaev, the majority of the population is ethnic Russian, 99% speak Russian all the time, every second person in Russia has close relatives.

We did not call anyone to save us or protect us. We have always felt comfortable living here. But, on February 24 at night (as in 41, without declaring war), the first 4 missiles from Russian ships in the Black Sea flew through the city. Residential buildings were damaged, the shock wave woke up the whole city, fortunately without human casualties, only wounded.

Nobody believed that this could happen. It was scary, some of the residents panicked and left towards Europe.

Today, February 25, fierce battles are being waged on the territory of the neighboring Kherson region, 60 kilometers from us. Many people die, including women and children.

We are all calm. We are accepting a large number of wounded from the Kherson region to hospitals. We donate blood, we need a lot of it.

All who remained are ready to defend the city and the country from the aggressor. There are huge queues of volunteers in the military commissariat.

The Russians don't give up! We are Russians and Ukrainians, so we will defend our hometown from attackers. As did our grandfathers 80 years ago. If we do not withstand the onslaught, we will switch to the mode of partisan resistance.

As you already understood, at the moment, everything is generally light with us. In Kyiv, Kharkov, Sumy, Mariupol and other cities, it's hell. Russian aviation is hitting residential quarters, firing from "deaths", "hails" and "hurricanes", artillery. Hundreds of dead, tens of thousands of wounded. Most of them are civilians, women and children. The homes of thousands of families have been destroyed.

To date, more than 2,000 Russian servicemen have been killed. These are someone's children, fathers, husbands. Stupid death, for nothing... we are at least defending our Motherland, but why are they dying... For the Botox Fuhrer, for his crazy ideas?

How can citizens of Russia help?

Take to the streets, express your disagreement with the fratricidal war. Do not be afraid! Now almost the entire Russian Guard is in Ukraine. If fear takes over - write at least in social networks about your position, put an avatar with a dove of peace or the Ukrainian flag.

If there are military personnel in your family, make every effort to pick them up and prevent participation in a fratricidal war. Yes, we understand, the order... Hitler's soldiers reasoned the same way. But you can always get sick, refuse to follow criminal orders, or accidentally shoot yourself (or better, the commander) in the leg. Believe me, this is better than taking the sin of fratricide on your soul or returning in a bag, with a load of 200... This is especially true for conscripts. Those who were lucky enough to be captured say that they were generally deceived, they said that they were sent home from the exercises...

I often watch Russian news - all lies and propaganda that distorts reality. Please don't believe any of their bullshit. Many posing as Ukrainian media and public also write disinformation. These are the features of the hybrid war against Ukraine.

If it is difficult to find sources of reliable information - subscribe to telegram. I will post links there, because they won’t go through email, due to censorship. Even this letter is difficult to shove through... almost every 10 words "big brother" works. Also there I will publish information about what is happening in our city and in the south of Ukraine.

My grandmothers in the most difficult life situations used to say "If only there was no war". Unfortunately, the worst thing happened, the war came to our house... It must be stopped before it's too late. Until she came to your house. Thanks!

Gennady

P.S. While I was writing the text, active hostilities also came to our city... I hear loud explosions outside the window. Videos are posted in the city's public pages of how attackers carry out rocket attacks from helicopters on residential areas of the city... This is nothing but terrorism, crimes against humanity.

Suspicious that it does not mention the Donetsk People's Republic or the Luhansk People's Republic.
