Is that why they started harassing me at 7 months to schedule a 9 month service?

I’ve driven 2,000 miles bought it in December outright with a bonus(do you know you can’t pay for a car in cash over 10,000 without filling out extra paperwork for the government but they’ll take a check, yeah that makes sense). I had to go back to the bank deposit it and get a cashiers check lmao. I was scared walking around with 10’s of thousands of dollars going to the bank. I thought they’d call a friend to jack me on the way.

They wouldn’t stop hounding me with calls and emails about voiding my warranty, even though it’s sitting in a garage and has only been driven just over 2,000 miles at 9 months now.

I know the owner of a local mechanic shop and told him the story, he told me to come in and he’d hook me up. His lead mechanic was supposed to pretend to do the maintenance. I actually had him change the oil against his judgment and believe me he protested profusely changing synthetic oil with only 2,000 miles on it, “when the manufacturer clearly states 10,000 for the first oil change”, but he did it and also gave me a free cabin air filter, he then pretended to rotate the tires, do all the services, billed me, put it in the system, I handed him cash, he gave me my receipt and he handed all bought 120 back.

The owner did something so the boooks matched and the maintenance didn’t show a voided receipt in case the dealership ever calls.

The lead mechanic at the end said this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done lmao. I said check out these emails and voice mails and he started laughing. I said at I’m done with them for another 2,000 miles and have my warranty.
