The traditional Inuit diet was pretty much fat with some protein, though it would vary a little with the seasons. They were in ketosis much of the time. This was well studied and documented by the beginning of the 19th century, which was fortunate because the modern western diet began to make inroads shortly after. You can be assured that traditionally there were no Inuit vegans.
