"Religare", that's the root of the word "religion", it means "to bind" essentially, and no it has nothing to do with binders or the binding of a book.
It binds people, it binds them beyond death, it binds them for eternity, that's what it does. It offers something that is beyond anything .gov or any ideological fad can offer.
And I don't expect materialistic utilitarian types completely devoid of any sense of spirituality to get it, to be clear. They are lost already. They have reduced themselves to soulless bags of meat, mere blood machines, objects, products essentially, in the name of "science", "reason", "rationality", by renouncing their immortal soul. No wonder they have zero problem "Bayer manufactured babies", baby designers, abortion, technologically assisted procreation... Oh the irony...
As bezmenov said, nobody is going to sacrifice themselves for 2+2=4, while it's definitely a truth, a mathematical truth. For god however, it's an entire different ballgame... While the existence of god itself, has never been proven and never will be.

You are correct on Besmenov and that is why an abstract being is needed, I'm not going to argue over that point. What I will argue is that you've already sacrificed god for a comfy life. Hell, Mormons have a better ideal than 90% of current Christians. Currently I'm more inclined to join the Catholics than the protestants, and that's just to listen to what they have to say... but I'm quite impressed with the Eastern European Catholics.
Currently, the plot of my argument is how much the kikes are killing the European Christian and the Christians do nothing. I'm too far gone into science to believe in an abstract being so all I have to go on is "Which ideological community do I choose to support?"

No, I think it's more a matter of you don't properly understand my position.
It's a tortuous position that I'm guessing you don't understand where you watch people blindly believing that they're salvation lives in good hopes and jelly beans - as long as they do what they're told they get an "easy life" like cattle to the slaughter.
Live in plato's cave and watch only the shadows of the puppet show the government/media tells you to watch. It's what your god would have wanted! After all - Jesus taught that you should love one another, and help the "traveller" in need! Now look at the state of Europe, flooded with useless freeloading "travellers". United States is the same except they're all South American, African, and whoever else can get to their shores and expect a hand out from the government.
That is why I think your god is dead - it's no longer about building your community but about the destruction of your community and wasting your resources on those that don't even know you or even hate you. I can support Christianity as I think it builds a great community, but what you worship isn't Christianity.
