I'd never thought of it like that. Thanks for the perspective shift. I did put thought behind it once. Wondering why so many "men of God" in the Catholic Church were like this. Best answer I came up with was because the Catholic Church isn't authentic. It was created in order to gain control of the growing Christian population. The same people reaching back to Babylonian times created the Catholic Church. The hidden religion honors hermaphrodites and sexual deviancy. So basically jews.

Yeah, Roman King Constantine said that if he won a certain battle, that he would become a Christian. Well, after winning the battle he had second thoughts. So, what he did was invent a new religion that was more palatable to Roman tastes. So, the Roman Catholic Church was born. It only takes one generation to completely convert a population to another religion, if the only options are to convert or die. That has been the attitude of the Roman Catholic Church where ever they have been able to get away with it sence then.

If you are male but don't like women, and would be shunned if you stated it, you become a catholic priest where you aren't allowed to marry. You are "married" to God.

So now you have a cover, becuase you are "celebate" .

Guess what, you are human and only a very very very small percentage of men are acually asexual. The prostate is gonna fill, the balls are gonna swell, and you need a release.

So you went in becuase you are gay, and now you have these urges that you want to act out on.

Who is around you? Some women who truely didn't want sex, or were lesbian, chior boys, and the youth congregation.

So if you went into it becuase you had urges to molest children, you now have the perfect cover. If you went in becuase you were gay and didn't want to show it, you have the perfect cover. If you went in thinking you could overrule your body, you had a rude awakening.

The church allows for married men to become priests, and while they are few and far between, they would be the only ones that may have a chance to not be a pedo.

It funny though, rabbi's can be married, no problem.
