I'm not so well traveled. I read 'Stonewall' quite some time ago. That left a lasting impression. I just happen to be reading a biography of Robert .E. Lee. and have just finished a chapter that included Jackson's death. Quite timely really. Hence the (humble) tribute.
We saw Lee's tomb and all his kids and grandkids' tombs including one not filled yet, waiting for a great great (or something like that) grandson.
Well I'm in my sixties. My homeschooled boys got interested in the Civil War and read tons of books after we saw Ken Burns' Civil War documentary. We visited all the major battlefields, looking out over the peaceful Gettysburg battlefield was pretty emotional, all the tourists were extremely quiet.
I don't know if I saw that documentary series but I see it's so I'll check it out.

I can only imagine what it must be like to stand with the ones you love on such Hallowed Ground. Wonderful.
