I kept reading the red message about maintenance at the top of the page not realizing I wasn't logged in,

The closed registration (invite only) helped getting rid of 100% of spam and glownigging leeches (who registered only to mass download videos, trying to drain server bandwidth and resources). Vid8 uptime is now rocking it.

I'm hot spotting from my phone to laptop with shit internet and it's running sweet for me, cheers mate.
