I have the most well behaved children out of anyone I have ever seen. Maybe a farm family here or there but I haven't spent enough time with them to know. We get compliments on it all the time, and anyone who meets them also gives us this comment.

They still need asswhoopings and time outs.

Toddlers are unreasonable and have no control over immediately expressing their emotions. That is just the way their brain is.

However there is one level between nothing and timeouts, that people won't tell you about except maybe a psychologist here or there. Introducing your children to distracting themselves from when is making them upset. It's a sign of high intelligence in children if they figure it out on their own, but you can teach it to them.

Good luck with your children when you have them!
