I think its more complicated than this. To pay somebody to build a home right now will cost about the same or, actually right now even more, than just buying a preexisting home. Homes are fucking complicated in their materials and limited skills it takes the build them and time it takes, and appliances People go brok just trying to remodel a section of their home.
