Regardless of any claim to the contrary an artists primary goal is to portray himself in the story. It's simply not possible to do otherwise. The brain receives stimulus processes & personalizes it.

A writer wanting to tell a story from a from a foreign perspective can only do so through the lense of their own experience. An animator wanting to draw a unique character can only draw what they see.

There is a word for it. Projection.

I just figured they were trying to get us prepared for how ugly this melting pot is beginning to be with all the nogs and half breeds. That thing on the right looks like a half breed.

It's intentional. But it's not as though a huge volume of the anime out there doesn't also have overtly kabbalistic themes.
