Regardless of any claim to the contrary an artists primary goal is to portray himself in the story. It's simply not possible to do otherwise. The brain receives stimulus processes & personalizes it. A writer wanting to tell a story from a from a foreign perspective can only do so through the lense of their own experience. An animator wanting to draw a unique character can only draw what they see. There is a word for it. Projection.
