Most Free Masons that are full free-and-accepted members are just useful idiots. The organization lures in the lost souls by playing to the fear and greed of the unwary. They play to greed by promising that many doors will open once you are a Mason and you can draw upon the collective nepotism of the Masons. They play to fear of death by offering an alternate scripture which provides a 'Thinking man's Afterlife' that is more appealing to those that reject the fantastical 'clouds-and-pearly-gates' vision of God's realm without being smart enough to understand the concepts of the Holy Trinity and the Alpha/Omega.

Most 'Free Masons' are wayward Christians that have walked away from the church because they are sick of watered down fairy tails where all of the real substance of the allegory has hit the cutting room floor and they are sick of the priest rapping children.
