Have you ever thought that they are both bad. We are an over sized empire. Of course we have enemies everywhere and people using us. That's par for the course once you get near/over the hill. It's called multi-threat management. Learn it or die sooner. America is already dead. It's an inevitability. But our ability to understand multi-threat management will decide if that is a 40 year decline or a 200 year decline. We can go down in an instant if we don't see every threat. And of course Israel is one too. Once you go over that hill you have no real friends. Just people who want to feed off of your soon to be corpse. And Israel was a parasite before even that.
