This is an intersting example of efficiency in language. Both of the above sentences convey the same amount of information and they essentially say the same thing.

Try to construct a pun in any other language than English. Palindromes, especially long ones are non existant in other languages as well. A man a plan a canal Panama

When I studied Latin in university, I came to realize how incredibly compact and efficient that language is. I don't think any other language is so compact, while still being able to convey the most subtle and complex concepts. The ancient Romans weren't just good at building things, the structure of their language is amazing.
