What I noticed first, as well. I can't imagine wanting to take a photo of my kids being hurt (I don't have any, yet) and being happy about it.
This is some weirdly creepy narcissism. "Yay! Look at what I did to my kid!"
I digress: maybe it's funny when they jump on the couch and fall down or something. Then you laugh. But the needle thing and the smile on her face creep me out.
