Hamburgers aren't bad for you if they're made with quality ingredients. You have meat, vegetables, fruit (tomatoes), dairy, and grains. The only part that's not ideal is the bun since people need to watch how much refined carbohydrates they eat.

The problem is that people are fat from eating too much of those things and poisoning themselves with sugar.

Fast food burgers are low quality meat slime, not quality ingredients. Home made burgers are fine.
