This is one of those seemingly pithy things but it's fucking BS. None of that stuff is true except in the sense that a doctor, for instance, makes his living from sick people, That is not that same as doctors hope everyone gets sick. These are careers and they exist because there's a legitimate demand for their services. Except of course the thief. The more shit you have to more he can potentially steal. And you can make them up all day, for example: "A Farmer hopes you are starving." That's not how a farmer thinks. It's just a silly statement. Ambulance chasing lawyers and telemarketers are predatory and opportunistic, but they are exceptions and they're fucking scum as well.
