There is a pilot shortage in the same way there is a trucker shortage. Companies pay peanuts for the job and wonder why they can't hire anyone. Clot shot requirements only made the available worker pool even smaller.
you don't really know how much pilots are paid do you? Its far from peanuts, peanuts when you get started perhaps, but when you have enough hours, you are far more than you'd expect.
Well I was eluding to starting pay for pilots. I have a relative that is a pilot for DHL and grosses 140k a year and only works 8 months of the year. I understand how much money a good pilot CAN make. Some truckers with some years experience can make more than 90k a year with a home daily job. But a lot of truckers start as low as 35k a year. Who wants to be a pilot for 50k a year and live in a shitty shared apartment before they can make more money?
