Unless you're fanatically determined to fight for the old homestead that has been in the family for generations, it's the easiest and least stressful course of action. Let your neighbor think he's won -- so what. Congratulate him on his victory as you are leaving for you new home. Keep shuffling the deck until you find a place that isn't infested with crazy people.
