I have an old tintype of a few woman (great, great, grandmas/aunts) standing around & one of the women has her skirt pulled up just enough to see her booted ankle. She has a coy grin on her face. Its a good picture. My point being that at that time *that* was considered risqué. Look how far we've fallen in the 125 years or so since that tintype.
