Those holsters look scary as fuck to me. In the event of a negligent discharge, the likelihood of shooting yourself in the femoral artery is pretty high, unless you have a medic with a trauma kit standing next to you, that's a likely fatal shot.
I would holster the weapon then put the holster in place. As long as the trigger is covered you should be fine.
Would be more of an issue when extracting from the holster I think. Unless you draw the gun and holster as one and discard the holster as a part of the draw? Not sure how effective that would be though.
you dont carry do you. You draw normally with finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. Withdraw holster to reholster.
