No it's true. Writing is particularly tough for left handed people but it's weird because I write right handed and shoot right handed but all of my finger work done on an instrument is done predominantly by my left hand even though I play right handed. Ambidextrous people are interesting Da Vinci could write and draw simultaneously with both hands.
