I think the compromise is sound in this meme. It's hard work being a proper high functioning woman, and it takes physical and mental discipline that requires sacrifice. Sacrificing your feet may not be as heroic as sacrificing your life for the country but guys who come back from war deserve someone worthy of their bravery, since being a soldier requires physical and mental discipline and sacrifice. Though I imagine alot of those guys would prefer a lady without crippled feet
