While I strongly disagree with the actions against oil/push to electric cars, coal needs to die. Besides the fact that clean coal tech is NOT competitive at all against even something like Nuclear, Coal plants have major health concerns for people living anywhere near them. It had it's purpose, but with current gen technology, it's time to move on
Coal is an essential energy source. The people against its use need to die. If you can convince the Chinese and dot-Indians not to use coal, then I may consider .... no, what am I saying, coal is a great energy source and we need more of it.
You do realize that coal plants produce more radiation than even a Gen 1 nuclear plant? And the left over ash is one of the most toxic things to come out of any industrial process? The cons far outweigh the pros in terms of coal power
Coal is an essential energy source.
Why?
You get it.
