I'll save the garbage from the NPR cub reporter and just list out the four "reasons"
1) Afghanistan will become a human rights problem
When was is not? Any Islamic government by default is a human rights problem.
2) A Taliban regime could again become a safe haven for extremists
So? That's called "Tuesday" in that part of the world.
3) A Taliban-ruled Afghanistan might destabilize Pakistan
Straight up lie. Afghanistan was always a puppet of the Pakis and China has already made nice with them and plan to make nice with the Taliban.
4) China could gain a foothold in the region
No fucking shit. The pipeline to Iran China was working on prior 9/11 will probably be completed by the end of next year.
