Fake! A credit card company cannot possibly calculate a carbon score based on a transaction at a retailer. They have only a vague idea of what you bought based on the merchant and how much you spent. If I go to walmart, the credit card can't possibly know what I bought, only that I spent a certain amount.
Just like the virus, this is only more tyranny and control. As in all tyranny, when we accept this, it will get worse. I'm moving to cash.
They are just going to assign an arbitrary carbon score to various politically incorrect purchases like meat, ICE vehicles, travel, and you will not be able to accumulate more than a certain amount of points. This is a type of social credit score.
They actually could, if all items are assigned a carbon score and your receipt is transmitted to them with your transaction record. Cash is best.
