The world's largest Apple (AAPL.O) iPhone factory has been grappling with strict COVID-19 restrictions that have fuelled discontent among workers and disrupted production ahead of Christmas and January's Lunar New Year holiday, as many workers were either put into isolation or fled the plant.

Local HK news are talking about an uprising at Hon Hai (Foxconn) factory in the mainland, because people have been laid off due to a massive drop in worldwide production demand, and because robots have been replacing employees in charge of doing dull/repetitive tasks. These people who come from other provinces (up north) are probably pissed knowing they won't find a job with the same wage back home.
