damn i might actually be here for that. What the best spot to bunker down in the USA to survive the apocalypses? Whats the terrain going to be like after we resurface and how long are we going to have to stay in a bunker for?
In the years leading up to the solar micronova we’re going to have extreme weather of all kinds (colder everywhere, every bad kind of storm you can name, 40 days and 40 nights of non stop rain, etc.). You’ll need something sturdy, or in‐ground to frequently hide in. This is why our ancestors built elaborate systems of caves.
As for location, in the US the best place to be is the East side of the Rockies, from New Mexico up to Wyoming.
After it’s over the crust (the entire surface of the Earth) will have shifted 90° over the mantle so that the geographic South pole is over Peru. The US will be down under and the current arctic region will be at the equator. During that crustal shift the oceans will wash over the continents, which is why you want to be high altitude and far from the coasts.
