A London couple who quit city life to move to remote island of the west coast of Ireland with no electricity or running water have revealed how their mystery illnesses disappeared due to lack of stress in their new life.
'I was burned out, my body was given stress signals'.
Emily, who worked as a children's nurse at Great Ormond Street hospital, said that stress had caused her eyes to be sore and read, with the skin around it flaking off. Doctors and specialists were unable to diagnose the illness. But after moving to the Blaskets, the illness disappeared.
So her health issues were basically caused by (((stress))). If she would have been a trad wife instead of pursuing a career, then she might not have become sick the way she did. She'll be better off now, but it could have been avoided in the first place.
Yeah, seems to be a case of improving health by improving environment.
Of course, she'll be unwell if suffering continual stress of over work coupled with (chronic) fatigue from lack of quality sleep etc. It's a downward circular spiral.
I imagine these issues would have also subsided/ mitigated by just moving out of the city and quit working in a high stress environment (children's hospital).
To think that she was a nurse and didnt realize this beforehand. Smh.
