My understanding is that it can be pretty quick, but requires unanimous consent from the existing NATO members. For instance, Sweden's entry was delayed by the Turks because of the various Koran burnings. So all it'll take is one existing NATO member that (a), doesn't want WWIII, and (b) can stand up to the globohomo pressure

Isn't it plainly stated in the NATO documents that a country cannot join if it's engaged in any active conflicts? Not that rules matter to these people....
