Someone on X called it DEI lifeguarding. They clearly were not trained to know what to look for. They had probably never seen an actual drowning before. In this day and age there are probably entire training videos free on YouTube to show you that.

Yep, sad part is he seemed almost directly adjacent to their positions and line of sight as well, not some out of view oblique angle. Wonder if the autopsy will tell us ? Other than sudden cardiac arrest/ or embolism etc.
