The pen is mightier than the sword.
Those words come from someone who has never faced a sword. Words are only powerful during times of peace or moderate strife. In times of war, no one picks up a pen instead of a sword. It's time to show the pen and its wielders that their instrument of mere words cannot best the sword wielder and his quest for victory. The pen cannot win against the sword. The sword shall prevail.
As for the desk, the best desks have a thin veneer of glass on top. It's time we put that layer of glass atop the region and use the sword to destroy the pen.
