I've never been a huge fan of Rolex, not because they aren't great watches, they are just played to death by Hollywood which Jack's up the price. My requirements are a giant case because I'm a giant of a man, a metal band(fuck leather and rubber I like my watches loose), an automatic or similarly awesome ingeniousness of mankind and skill and science, and a unique but classy look. I don't like gaudy or garish. I like classy bordering on simple. Too much going on takes away from the look, unless the look is too much going on on purpose.
I am also big, so I need a case-size bigger than 40mm, typically. I aim for 43 or 44 these days, which thankfully is becoming more common. I like my watches a little garish because I am a little niggerish in my ways, but I don't like extremely tacky shit like, for instance, aftermarket diamond bezel inlays by a Bukharian Jews who make rapper bling necklaces.
A watch that is a little loud that I am really wanting to get, but I'm pretty sure you'd find too over the top is the Breitling Navitimer Pan Am with the Cosmonaute Air Racer bracelet. I like the look of that bracelet, but most watch people think it is too gaudy/douchey
Fashion is to be made not followed. If you like it and you are wearing it (and it's not wearing you) then it is good and you will look good with it on. Don't let others dictate your style.
Oh I like loud but in a classy way. HIGH CLASS NIGGER OVER HERE.
This is my jam I am just too poor lol
Visually, that's not too much. I am not to crazy about the outer bezel, but I really appreciate a large date function like that. I would get that watch. But this is the one I currently want from Breitling:
