If you're going for the gold you may as well go for the gusto.
This is the debut limited edition piece that the high beat escapement and movement first showed up in. This guy will be worth a SHITLOAD in 20 years. Any new escapement debut is going to be worth money down the road, and it's a beautiful piece (even though I prefer metal bands and stainless tones and chunkier dials in the 44-50mm range for personal use).
I love it…if only it came in white gold or platinum. Maybe even rose. Yellow, though, it just not my thing….
Me either. It's a nice piece if I had 50k sitting around I didn't need for 20 years I'd buy it and store it because it will be worth double by then but it's not my style. Gran seiko is going to rise in price exponentially. They are undervalued because they are Japanese but the quality and craftsmanship is unmatched and people are recognizing it.
