Fuck youtube!

I check out hackaday and occasionally I watch an embedded video. I guess not any more. Youtube is forcing users to log in to see embedded videos, which essentially means embedded videos are now hyperlinks.

Their pretense is they want to stop bots. It actually doesn't matter why they're doing this, the fact is they no longer support embedded videos.

Website owners should rethink embedding videos since they're now just hyperlinks.

Did I say fuck youtube?

It's not mandatory, but it happens to lots of VPN locations.

They are silently blocking (forcing you to log in) as much as they can.

The end goal is to suppress anonymous access to videos, and collect all browsing habits of users.

Gab did this with their jewish payment processor and partner Gabpay. They completely blocked access to VPNs/Tor/Proxies (unless you give them shekels through GabPro, which will expose your real identity).

Good luck with that. I won’t be consuming.
