Weather has been cooperative thus far this year, in addition to we finally got our hands on the soil filler we like (and I tilled the fuck out of the beds).

Pulled one a few days ago with some fresh thai's we're growing and some fresh habanero. Medium dice with some Himalayan salt, juice of a lime and some fish sauce added to a mortar to make a mash. That one scorpion was pretty floral - kind of a turn off, so I'll need to actually cook the mash - but man it was smokin'.

Those scorpions make my posterior pucker just looking at them - enjoy! Only have three plants going this year due to home repairs after our March storm/tornado/hailstorm. Have two Tabascos that are fruiting quite prolifically, and one Gypsy (0 Scovilles) that is knocking it out of the park! One plant can supply two people all summer long, and allow a couple quarts for pickling. Today's haul:

Best pepper ever, IMO. Growing season too short here for them though. Enjoy.

I hope these mellow a bit on that floral note, but it could simply be this batch. I have a predilection for chocolate lightning habanero and chocolate reapers, but I welcome them all!

I spent a minute look at that photo trying to find where scorpions are.

Not a 'magic eye' but these fuckers will sting nonetheless! I've found myself with a bit of a proclivity for more unripened peppers lately. If I let these ones ripen, I will.post updates.

Next post will be 'dragons breath' (also green on green, for now)
