Here we go again. Yes, electricity is "clean", you only have the small detail about how it was generated. Semantics.

What would work are solar panels of the heating kind where the sun heats water during the day and uses a heat exchanger to pump the heat into the bricks.

By the way, this idea is old. It's been around a while. There's a technology called molten-salt technology or molten salt energy storage (MSES).
