I think it more likely she is alive but in poor health. If dead, they could blame it on her "overactive vagal response" where she fell and hit her head. She probably got a big payout to sign a non-disclosure agreement and disappear from public view. Her family probably didn't sign an NDA, so they can talk if she eventually dies.
