If you want first cold press, extra virgin olive oil, you have to be pretty much near a olive farm. Real Olive Oil like that goes bad in 2-5 weeks. The reason all of that extra virgin, first cold press olive oil tastes kind of like cleaning chemicals instead of olive oil is due to the pasteurization process.
Basically, you're fucked if you want great first cold press, extra virgin olive oil UNLESS you live near a producer. Or you have a specialty hook up that gets you in a trade route.
What do you stock in your kitchen?
Not extra virgin olive oil because I'm no where near a fresh farm nor am I inline with a great route.
And, nothing amazing. I just take fish oil pills and eat a very specific, strict, diet, almost all the time. No fun in my life except on the weekends. I have just enough time to prepare the same basic foods and eat those. Every now and then, I will make some guacamole (without mayo, like the old school Mexicans do). That's good stuff.
But I look amazing with my shirt off...which...is nice? For my GF only?
