A while back my friend/neighbor gave me two lil pumpkins she bought at the store but i was in a bad place in life and wasnt able to do or say anything about it. I wanted to show her my appreciation for her kindness though and planted the seeds from the lil pumpkins. Soon i'll be harvesting them all, but i pulled the two most mature pumpkins off the vine to make something with.

today I'll make pumpkin cinnamon rolls and give her two pumpkins. Before now, I've reconnected with her and told her what was going on, so we are cool on that front. I just like to reciprocate.

While the world is generally cruel, i've had a pretty good time with kind, generous people and I will probably be paying it forward the rest of my life as a thank you to the universe for putting me in such a good position when it would have been so easy to crush me like a bug on the windshield of life.

Being cognizant and appreciative of what you have in life is one of the more important things to learn while on Earth. Good idea on the rolls, post pics!

Thank you! When theyre finished i'll share a pic.

theres a new way to make frosting i discovered with a recipe. https://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-boiled-milk-frosting-240940 not the same one i used in the past but similar concept.

Outstanding! I never knew there is a thing called boiled milk frosting! I'm sure I'm not the only one who now expects a full cook debriefing with multiple pics from different angles and (hopefully) a thorough review from your appreciative neighbor!

haha I appreciate that! I was completely shocked when I discovered you can make frosting this way. I really want to like creamcheese frosting, but while it tastes good, its expensive and often leaves a film in the roof of my mouth and tongue.

I'll give the neighbors a cinnimon roll, one for each member of the house, i think four. If you are that interested, perhaps i'll take pictures of the different stages of cooking just for kicks and grins. I'll certainly have one for before and after the icing mmmm. never thought of mixing

I need to figure out how to make pic 8 work for me. i can almost upload a photo from the sidebar but it errors for some reason
