I'm a very bad consumer. I keep my cars way to long. Sometimes 12-15 years. I keep my cell phones until they shut down the transmission system or it dies. I still use a dumb TV and refuse to buy a new one. My PC is 9 years old. I refuse to buy a new blender because my old one still works.
On the other hand, I buy electronic components I seldom use, I buy microcontrollers simply because I never know if I may need it sometime in the future. LOL.
