The irony is that while using SSD swap space will function OK for most "I browse da intarwebs and send da emale", all that IO write has to be hell on SSD longevity.

That's exactly what happened with their M1 SSD and they had to disable/limit that feature, which turned their computer into snails.
The SSD in Mx series cannot be replaced... So if it stops working or dies, you're fucked.
